BIG SPRING, Texas – Howard College is excited to welcome Preston Ingram as the new Associate Head Coach for the nationally recognized Howard College Men's Basketball program. Ingram officially joins the Hawks on July 1, bringing more than two decades of coaching experience and a proven track record of developing championship-caliber teams and student-athletes.
Ingram arrives at Howard College after an accomplished 22-year coaching career that spans NCAA Division II, NAIA, elite prep basketball, and nationally recognized AAU programs. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation as an outstanding recruiter, offensive strategist, and player developer while earning more than 105 career victories as a collegiate head coach.
Most recently, Ingram served as Head Men's Basketball Coach at Maryville University, where he oversaw every aspect of the nationally competitive NCAA Division II program. Under his leadership, Maryville became one of the nation's top offensive teams while emphasizing player development, recruiting, and a strong team culture.
A native of Springfield, Missouri, Ingram earned bachelor's degrees in Marketing and Management from Evangel University before completing a master's degree in Human, Health, Performance and Recreation at Pittsburg State University. He and his wife, Shanna, have two children, Mya and Sebastian.
